From The Principal – Mr Tom Vignoles

I am delighted to welcome you to the International School of Milan. It is a great privilege to be Principal of such a long-established IB world school, and a tremendous honour to be trusted with the education of all of our IS Milan students.

Our academic expectations at IS Milan are very high, and we are very proud of the knowledge and expertise of our staff team. We also know that all people, whether students or adults, learn and operate best in a caring, thinking and respectful environment. Our mission at IS Milan is to nurture happy and confident individuals at every level of the school, and we are always keen to do anything we can to support our students’ well-being.

Our mission is also to empower our students to make a difference in an ever-changing world. Our International Baccalaureate (IB) curriculum provides tremendous opportunities for our students to show agency in co-creating their learning, showing courage and balance as reflective inquirers. How our students learn – their learning behaviour - is just as important for their success as what they learn.  Open-minded learning happens anywhere, not just in the classroom, and our students will also engage in opportunities that benefit the wider community, in collaboration with so many other schools within the Inspired Education Group.

The world-renowned IB curriculum, our dedicated team of staff, our supportive parent community, our global opportunities for collaboration, and our excellent school facilities – all within the vibrant and international setting of Milan – together, these provide a winning formula for every student to build an exceptional future, as an inspired and principled global citizen. Whether you are an existing member of the IS Milan community, or considering joining IS Milan, please visit us to see our school in action. I hope to meet you personally as soon as possible.
